How can one calculate the amount of impure income to be paid off as charity on account of the investment in Tata Ethical Fund (TEF)

Regarding purging on Tata Ethical Fund, kindly note that purging calculation is a comprehensive process.
Investors can visit the TATA Mutual Fund's website, where we have designed a purging calculator exclusively for TEF investors. They can enter their TEF transactions and find out the purging amount to be given as charity.
Alternatively, if any investor is not computer savvy, then as a liberal approximation, he can purge 0.7% of the average value of his investment in TEF over the year.
In the case of investors with a large investment, where exact calculation may help the investor reduce his liability, he can approach TASIS and get the purging done for a nominal fee per annum. We have developed a software for that purpose.
